1)We have birds all year round
2. We have privacy provided by the many trees and shrubs surrounding the property 3. The sound of the creek when water is flowing through it 4. The changes in the flora and fauna from year to year. Sometimes we have many predatory birds and sometimes we have lynx, rabbits, and other wild life playing in the yard or side lot.
5. Taking care of my perennials and annuals in the hot house and raised garden beds. Choosing flowers to bring in butterfly's, bees, and hummingbirds.
6. The 2 acre lot has allowed us to provide homes for injured wild birds, care taking the birds, and using the birds in Bird Treatment and Learning Center's education program.
7. Watching the baby birds fledge in the spring, learn to fly, and eat sunflower seeds at the many feeders.
8. Having a home where I can carve, paint, and express my inner artist and property where I can carve logs into pieces of art with my chain saw. The shop in the back yard allows me carve even when it is snowing or raining. I have had many unexpected visitors while playing in my shop.
9. Currants abound, four cherry trees bloom in the spring, and my lilies bring much delight to me as do the lupine, bleeding hearts, lilacs and roses scattered around the property.
10. The yard is a great place to play frisbee with our dog and let the grand children play.
11. Being able to step out the front door and having safe paths to walk my dog is another thing I like about the location of our home for the past 13 years. The ever changing view of the inlet and mountains on a clear is spectacular.
