     I've lived in Alaska almost 30 years (I'm a transplanted Buckeye from Ohio). Every day I appreciate living in the Talkeetna area -- the friendly community, the beauty of the mountains, lakes, creeks and forest, the changing seasons, the wildlife and quietness. For close to 20 years I've helped hundreds of folks purchase or sell homes, cabins, land and commercial properties and I'd like to help you, too.      I am active in our local Realtor® community, having served on the Valley Board of Realtors® Board of Directors and many committees.      I think it's important to give back to the comunity I live in. I've helped with local community council elections, served on the local radio station Board of Directors, and for many years have been an on-air volunteer newsreader and music show host on KTNA. I helped create a new local show about life and times in the Susitna Valley, known as "Nuggets".      I'm living my Alaskan dream! My husband and I built our log home and enjoy living in the Talkeetna area. I've been successful in the sales arena for over 30 years.      After sailing my boat on a 7-1/2 year voyage around the world with my family, we moved to Alaska.   I brought my past experiences as a business owner (of a wholesale produce company in San Francisco) and 6th grade teacher (in Washington, D.C.) with me to Talkeetna. My wife and I believe Talkeetna is the best place in the world to live. I feel if you're going to live in a small town you should contribute to the community. I volunteer my time as a member of the Board of Directors of the Talkeetna Historical Society. I also volunteer at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) as the bingo caller during our quiet winter months. In addition, I'm "the voice" at the official dropping of the moose nuggets during Talketna's annual Moose Dropping Festival. I'm also a member of the Upper Susitna Shooters Association, an organization of gun owners who promote gun safety, courses for young people and shooting activities for all age groups. My wife and I recently welcomed our first grandchild (Liam) into the world and the wonderful community of Talkeetna.
